This was a small website I made to house audio and video resources for Arabic students at the University of Texas. The Professor behind the project indicated he wanted a simple looking website similar to another website created by LAITS (Hebrew Resources). He did specify that he also wanted an icon of the UT tower (which was made by another student technology assistant).
I made the website using the programs Photoshop and BBedit, and I coded the website in CSS and basic HTML, so the professor could easily update his website. The content is password protected, but the website is still accessible.

This a website I redesigned but was created by the Head of the Japanese Department at the University of Texas. This website houses written and video projects done by Japanese students at the University informing Japanese visitors about places of interest in Austin. The website is entirely in Japanese.
Because I was working closely with Head of the Japanese Department on her other websites (Japanese Department and JOSHU), I was asked if I had any ideas of things I could do. I suggested redesigning this website for her.
I made the website using the programs Photoshop and BBedit, and coded in CSS and HTML. Later, I converted the website into PHP. Also, one of my videos I made for this project while studying at the University is available on this website.

This website is to assist students at the University of Texas who are taking Japanese with their study of the language. I was hired by LAITS to specifically work on this website and with the Professor associated with it.
I performed site maintenance as needed, and added new content provided by the Professor. I completely converted the website into PHP and successfully installed a quiz grade submission form that was password protected and compiled in a MYSQL database. This database was accessible to the Professor by a special login and allowed her to view/delete grades as needed.

This website is the official website for the Japanese Program at the University of Texas.
I redesigned this website for the Head of the Department. After several designs, I was asked to include more warm, summer-like colors, which are viewable in the final design. I was also asked to come up with some sort of icon to set off the design, which is the fan in the upper-left corner (this fan and other icons I made for this website is viewable under illustrations in the portfolio section of this website). I suggested making the website entirely bilingual to inticite prospective students as well as to benefit current students.
Programs I used in the making of this website were Photoshop, Illustrator, and BBedit. I coded the website in CSS, PHP and HTML.

This website is used along side a required class for pre-med students at the University of Texas. The website has 6 different types of exercises for the students to complete for practice, as well as difficult medical terminology audio pronunciation guides.
I made this website using Word Press. Not only did I need to learn the intricacies of the Word Press CMS, but also understand their modified PHP code. I coded the website in HTML and used extensive CSS to utilize the website design.

This website is based off a website that was initially on CD. The website showed videos in French about French culture, given to the Professor by the Tourism Board of France. After watching the video, the student would answer questions about the video in French.
I was asked to redesign the website based on the version on the CD. I came up with the intial design and layout of the website (still present in the menu and the layout of the pages). However, I left the project before my ideas could be implemented, but the project was completed using my initial ideas later.

This website is to assist students at the University of Texas who are taking Persian with their study of the language. Although I wasn't the head developer of this project, I was asked to assist with inputting content not only in English, but also Persian.
Using Persian on website is difficult because Persian is read from right to left. Specific coding was done to run the text the correct way, however, special attention was required to ensure the text read the correct direction, and not only aligned to the left. It was discovered that word documents given to the LAITS department with Persian text were opened with a MAC word editor, the Persian text automatical aligned itself to the right but did not read from right to left. This avoided by using a PC word editor (which aligns Persian to the right and reads from right to left).

This is a personal website for Professor Trubowitz in the Government Department at the University of Texas. He wanted a simple website to post pertinent information for his students and his professional credentials. He indicated he wanted traditional, patriotic colors for his website. I made his website using the programs Photoshop and BBedit, and coded his website using very basic HTML and CSS, so he could edit his own website.
